What a hidden gem Pueblo Escondido is, serving an incredible blend of Colombian, Mexican, and Guatemalan cuisines! We indulged in Chicken Pepian, Mole, Coctel de Camaron, Empanadas, and Arepas, and each dish was absolutely delicious. The rich, authentic flavors made everything taste wonderfully homemade—not a hint of being processed. The ambiance was just as delightful, with charming decorations that made the setting super cute. The music blended perfectly with the overall vibe, creating a fun and enjoyable dining experience. Finally, we can enjoy this fabulous combination of flavors without making the drive to Chicago. Pueblo Escondido is easily a new favorite for anyone seeking genuine, heartwarming cuisine!

Definitely worth a stop in. Food takes awhile as it’s made fresh but well worth the wait. I had the asada burrito and would definitely go back.

Maravilla de lugar. Sencillo y delicioso todo! Volveria, si! Spectacular hidden gem, literally! Walkin through a bakery. Then, a few steps down to an amazing speakeasy feeling type Place. Food, drinks, and customer service did not disappoint. We will be back. 10 out of 10 recommend

The food was good, the cocktails were great, one of the best mojitos I’ve ever had. The music is very Colombian traditional, so I really enjoyed the atmosphere since it felt like you were in Colombia. The service was great as well. I recommend this authentic Colombian restaurant.

Great little place to have a good meal! It's below the bakery so when you enter you get some amazing smells but once you head downstairs you are transported to a hidden gem! The food was delicious, we had quesabirria tacos as well as the chicken flautas and they had awesome flavor. Perfectly seasoned and not overly salty. Next time we come, we will be checking out the Colombian food!

First time here and everything was amazing! Definitely a hidden gem, didn’t even know this place was here. We will definitely come back again and again. Food was so good and the atmosphere was fun. Ally was awesome too. Come check this place out, you won’t be disappointed!

We celebrated my grandmas 84th birthday at Pueblito Escondido and it didn’t disappoint. From the attentive hosts and servers they made her feel welcomed. The empanadas were a solid 10/10 and all the dishes we had were also 10/10 we loved it. They also surprised her with a slice of cake and sang her happy birthday. I will definitely be coming back to this place for authentic Colombian food. Also our server was super sweet I didn’t get her name but she was excellent.

This place is a cute hidden gem in downtown Elgin. Been here a couple of times and never disappoints. I’m a sucker for their empanadas de queso, so Good!! Today tried their tacos al pastor and really good. Highly recommend for anyone in the area.
